We value clean code, practical engineering, thoughtful UX, and a collaborative team environment. As we expand, we are seeking a skilled TS Developer to join our engineering team on a part-time, hybrid basis in New York. Position Summary We are looking for an experienced TypeScript Developer (TS Developer) to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer who is comfortable working across the stack with TypeScript, contributing to both front-end and back-end code, and who thrives in a collaborative, hybrid work setting. The role is part-time with a predictable weekly cadence and an expected commitment that we will define during the interview process. Key Responsibilities 1. Design, implement, test, and maintain production-quality code primarily written in TypeScript for front-end and/or back-end services. 2. Build and enhance user-facing features using modern front-end frameworks (for example React, Next.js) while ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and performance. 3. Develop and maintain server-side APIs and services using Node.js/TypeScript (Express, NestJS, or similar), including RESTful and GraphQL endpoints. 4. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and reduce regressions. 5. Participate in code reviews, contribute to architecture discussions, and help define best practices for TypeScript, testing, and deployment. 6. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and mitigations. 7. Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features on a predictable cadence. 8. Help maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, linting, and developer tooling to improve engineering productivity. 9. Document code, design decisions, and operational runbooks where applicable. 10. Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive engineering culture. Required Qualifications 1. Demonstrated experience building applications in TypeScript (production experience preferred). 2. Practical experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React (or similar) and strong familiarity with component-driven development. 3. Server-side TypeScript experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express, NestJS, or equivalent. 4. Strong understanding of web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and browser performance considerations. 5. Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and using testing frameworks such as Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, or similar. 6. Comfortable with Git and collaborative workflows (pull requests, branching strategies). 7. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, and experience integrating with third-party services. 8. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts. 9. Ability to work in a hybrid environment and be available for the agreed onsite schedule in New York. 10. Eligible to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications 1. 3+ years of professional software development experience (or equivalent demonstrated experience). 2. Familiarity with TypeScript typing strategies, generics, and advanced type system features. 3. Experience with serverless architectures, containerization (Docker), or Kubernetes. 4. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying scalable services. 5. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code concepts. 6. Experience with performance profiling and optimization for both client and server. 7. Contributions to open-source projects, public code samples, or a technical blog are a plus. 8. Prior experience working in part-time or distributed/hybrid teams. Employment Details and Schedule 1. This is a part-time position. Typical time commitment will be discussed during the interview and mutually agreed upon; expect flexibility around approximately 20-30 hours per week, depending on needs and candidate availability. 2. Hybrid work model based in New York: a mix of remote work and onsite collaboration. Typical onsite expectation will be discussed, with an example of 1-3 days per week in our NY office depending on team needs. 3. Work hours will include some overlap with core team hours for collaboration; specific core hours will be agreed upon at onboarding. 4. The role is compensated at a base salary of 10000000 Per month. Exact classification (employee vs contractor), pay schedule, and applicable taxes/withholdings will be confirmed at offer stage. What We Offer 1. Competitive part-time compensation (Base Salary: 10000000 Per month). 2. Flexible scheduling and a hybrid workplace that supports work-life balance. 3. Opportunities for professional development and access to technical resources, courses, and conferences. 4. Collaborative, supportive team culture with mentoring and growth opportunities. 5.
